On September 18 and 19, 1999, the National Heritage Foundation together with the French Cultural Centre, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Tourism organized “Open House Days” or “Les Journées Portes Ouvertes du Patrimoine”. Thousands of students from private and governmental schools and university students were able to visit and discover more than 30 natural, historical sites and museums all over Lebanon.
