The Qadisha valley classified on the List of the World Heritage of the UNESCO In its constant preoccupation to preserve the Lebanese heritage, the Foundation has contributed in many campaigns for: • the rescue of Jbeil harbour. • the safeguard of the Qadisha/Qannoubine valley and classification of this valley by the Ministry of Culture (Decree 65 of September 25, 1997) and by the Ministry of Environment (Decree 151/9 of October 17, 1997), the result of which, was the inscription of this valley on the list of the World Heritage of the UNESCO. • rescue and safeguarding of the natural site of Tabarja. • safeguarding of the Byblos intra-muros town planning and the cancellation of a building permit relative to a third floor, higher than the old town walls.
